Burkhard has a background in musicology, media and cultural studies. He worked for more than a decade for the record label Deutsche Grammophon and its part Archiv Produktion, where he accompanied a wide variety of audio and video projects, from the initial idea, through the actual recording to the finished product. Since 2021 he has been working for vist.co kulturmanagement GmbH, a creative marketing agency for music and cultural projects. vist.co creates visuals for artists, ensembles, orchestras, labels etc, including videos, photos, graphic design, and websites. Lifelong learning is not just an empty phrase for him - he completed his MBA in 2022.
